Supporting Mentally Healthy Workplaces Webinar

The Scottish Government, Public Health Scotland and See Me recently established the ‘Supporting Mentally Healthy Workplaces: National Learning Network for Employers’.

Employers of any size and across the whole of Scotland are invited to join for free.

The network complements the ‘Supporting mentally healthy workplaces’ employer platform, which signposts employers to a wide range of free mental health and wellbeing resources and information.

This webinar will focus on supporting men’s mental health in the workplace, will be held on 15th June 2023, 9.30-11.00 am on MS Teams.

Mentoring Young People Webinar

Whether you’re mentoring young people through work placements, apprenticeships or jobs this free training workshop offers practical insights and guidance to hone the skills required.

During the session you will explore key mentoring skills and tools, including the GROW model, and have an opportunity to practice these skills with guidance and support from an expert facilitator.

You will also receive a detailed guide to mentoring that is packed full of practical hints and tips as well as sources of reference for further self-directed learning.

This workshop is designed for individuals responsible for supporting young people on work placements as well as individuals responsible for managing apprentices or young employees within their organisation

NMIS & WB Alloys School Partnership

NMIS, in collaboration with WB Alloys, have been keen to raise awareness in senior phase pupils of the manufacturing career opportunities associated with shipbuilding and ScotWind Projects amongst others.

 NMIS and WB Alloys have run various interactive careers presentations and workshops in schools, highlighting diverse and exciting career options in Fabrication & Manufacturing. Pupils had the chance to ask questions, take part in Virtual Reality related practical activities, learn more about routes to work and ask for advice.

Thank you to both NMIS and WB Alloys for running these workshops within our schools.
